Guiné-Bissau in 1990 gives light to the birth of a young legend of lyberation called Lyan Akoma, which represents love or patience, as per the ancient Asante empire.
Though most of his growing years took place in Lisbon, Lyan always felt the land of Bissau on his feet when in his house blasted the traditional sounds of Tina, Kansaré, Djambadon, Gumbé or Kunderé. Within such musical artistry, Afrobeat, R&B , House and Hip Hop became also strong influences onto his sounds of lyberation.
The prodigious humming-singing child became a cultural leader upon his return to Bissau in 2015, crucial to the development of social entrepreneurship and action by promoting Bissau’s culture on the youth.
